Bright Angel View- Grand Canyon Arizona
Of course, there's a story here.... we were only visiting the Grand Canyon for 2 mornings so I HAD to see the sunrise! I got everyone up at 6am to go for a walk to a viewing point. We never made it to the viewing point as the stops along the way were just too magnificent.... like this one! As you can see, we visited in March and there was still snow on the ground.... yes, it was only 15 degrees...... my husband and friends were about to kill me..... yet the views, and Elk playing made up for it! Chapel of the Holy Cross: Sedona, Arizona
I have this joke with a friend of mine that every time I go into someplace sacred, I automatically tear up... for no special reason. If you've ever been to a place where you know there is a spirit, some cosmic presence.... perhaps it's like "chemistry:" you can't see it, or touch it, but you know it's there-- you feel its presence! The Chapel of the Holy Cross was like that for me.... set within and among nature, it was a heavenly place! Click on picture for larger view.
Pima Point Sunset- Grand Canyon
Pima Point is along the West Rim Drive. We took a sunset tour and were greeted by this beautiful view. While some may think March was a bit early to go, for me, it was perfect. Few crowds, just enough snow to make it blissful! Click on picture for larger view.
Yaki Point Vista- Grand Canyon
Yaki Point is the easternmost stop on the Kaibab Trail Route, along the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. The view is awe-inspiring! Click on picture for larger view.
Montezuma Castle- Arizona
Gaze through the windows of the past into one of the best preserved cliff dwellings in North America. This 20 room high-rise apartment, nestled into a towering limestone cliff, tells a 1,000 year-old story of ingenuity and survival in an unforgiving desert landscape.

Montezuma Castle Sycamore Tree-- Arizona
This was a Sycamore tree near the castle.... I thought it was just as beautiful and majestic as the cliff dwelling!

Cathedral Rock Barn Door-- Sedona
So, once again, simplicity and "what's here to celebrate" called out to me... this was on the way to the famous Cathedral Rock reflecting area (see later picture) and I thought it was enchanting......

Cathedral Rock Reflection- Cathedral Rock National Park, Sedona
It took me 4 visits before I got this shot..... I suppose if I had read that it was better to go for sunset than sunrise, that would have helped! Still, it was magical!

Zen Rock Sculpture
Most people go to Cathedral Rock National Park and are mesmerized with the red rock formations. Me... I'm fascinated by all the cairns and rock sculptures.... of course we had to create our own masterpiece... perhaps it will not surprise you that those pictures are not for sale!
